Orange Shortbread Biscuit Recipe

Orange Shortbread

Makes approx 25 biscuits


800g plain flour

800g butter

400g semolina

400g caster sugar

Zest of one large orange

Additional caster sugar for sprinkling



Preheat the oven to 200C / Gas mark 4

Combine all the ingredients together and mix well

On a lightly floured surface roll the mixture out until it is about 1cm thick

Cut the mixture into shapes using 6cm cutters

Bake for 15 minutes

When slightly cooled, sprinkle with caster sugar and transfer to a wire cooling rack


Don’t forget to squeeze your orange for juice, or simply peel and eat.  Delicious!
